But first, let’s see the before.
I love a good before shot, don’t you? Clearly this 36″ x 24″ wall art is way too small for this space. This wall needed much larger wall art.
This landscape photo is not the first piece of art to come and go. I’ve tried tons of different art options here including framed art, canvas art, DIY art – you name it!

Large Contemporary Wall Art
I’m normally not a modern or contemporary decor person but Space kit has lots of options that work with all decor styles.
I got the natural grain finish with the rake pattern in white. The wood grain is very natural looking and fits perfect with any design style.
Mine is the 6 tile option with no spacing. Making this large modern wall art approximately 40″ tall by 60″ wide.
I feel like it can sometimes be hard to find this right sized artwork for a space which is by all the customizable wall art options are so great!
I can also rotate the tiles and create a completely new pattern for a different modern geometric wall art look.
Earlier I mentioned that I get bored easily… another added bonus is that I can separate each of the six tiles into different combinations and multiple art work sets.
For example, I could put 2 vertically on a bathroom wall, 4 in a square on another wall, etc.
Shipping was quick & everything was packed very nicely!
Why I’m Loving My New Neutral Wall Art
It’s trendy!
Clean lines are in! As I mentioned, I have the rake pattern which I laid out in a modern geometric wall art pattern but here is another way you can organize the rake pattern.
Doesn’t it look so much different than mine?
Check out a few of my favorites below:
There are many other trending patterns from modern to coastal to traditional.
This pattern is called Radius. I love this color combo – doesn’t it fit in perfectly with this modern coastal living room?
If you’re going for more an even more modern look, the scallops pattern is really pretty!
Here’s another fun fact: Spacekit’s panels are made from sustainable up-cycled rice hulls, and our products are made with a zero-waste, made-to-order manufacturing process in Pennsylvania.
Completely Customizable Wall Art
Every single detail is customizable – the size, the pattern, the color and even the finish. Best part? You can pre-design your custom wall art with their custom configurator to figure out what works for your space.
This really helped me be able to visualize what my modular wall art would look like before buying it.
Easy Installation
Spacekit comes with all the hardware needed for an easy install: Command® Strips from 3M, a bubble level and a 2” or 4” spacer.
I can’t believe how easy it was to hang our new large wall art! The leveling strips and blocking make it very simple & quick.
Here is a photo of everything mine came with:
They also sent easy to follow instructions.
I laid out my pattern on the floor and then took measurements for wall placement.

My husband likes to use a laser level to mark the wall where to hang things – no marks or damage to the wall! It’s a pretty neat tool.
We used the Command® Strips hanging method but you could also use nails to hang your wall art as well.
Update: six months later, I can tell you that the Command® Strips are still holding up this beautiful wall art perfectly.
Be sure to check out my video of the entire process here.
Mudroom Makeover Reveal
Our new neutral wall art is the perfect wall décor addition for our mudroom! I would highly recommend Space Kit! AND if you want to save 15% – use Spacekit promo code ClipperCity15
Seriously, I had so many great ideas for where I could put my new Spacekit wall art!
I was in between here, the upstairs hallway long wall (which is totally bare) and we also have a spot for a large piece of art in our dining room.
Ultimately I chose this spot in my Mudroom because I needed a large neutral art piece. A perfect match 🙂
You could also totally use this as modern living room wall decor, in a foyer & more!
Don’t you LOVE it when a have a piece of furniture or decor that is versatile in multiples spots? I always get tired of looking at things in the same spot!
